We all have borders. Boundaries. Some of us can’t see them for the horizon, and while embracing and expansive, those with such openness sometimes need to be reminded of where the rest of us reside.
There is nothing wrong with reinforcing your boundaries. You are not required to carve open doorways, no matter who’s knocking. You control these gates, and you are allowed to take your time. But remember–not everyone who knocks is an invader. Sometimes it’s a neighbor just curious about who you are.
