Satya

Only the shadows.

When did we learn to expect difficulty? Yes, life is hard and can absolutely be unfair, no question. But isn’t it also joyous? And if we feel as though those moments are few and far between, is it possible it’s because we are conditioned *not* to expect them?

So what would happen if we decided to expect things to be a bit easier, for laughter to come more frequently? What if we expected to be liked? To be celebrated for who we are? We might certainly be disappointed, but what if we were pleasantly surprised?

We will inevitably be both–disappointed and surprised. But what if we could teach ourselves to see the light as easily as we do the shadow?
